NWFA 2025 Intermediate Installation + Certification Testing- Wadesboro, NC

Course Prerequisites: 1 year of installation experience OR attendance at Basic Installation School.
Course Description: This 3-day course includes in depth training on jobsite preparation, layout, understanding the science of wood, analysis of solid and engineered flooring, practice and instruction for nail/glue/floating installation methods of unfinished, factory finished, solid, and engineered flooring, as well as learning a variety of floor repair techniques and how to incorporate simple design elements into a floor.
NWFA Certification Testing (Additional $400 charge): Will be available on Friday, March 21st.

Certification Prerequisites:
- Be a member of the NWFA in good standing.
- Have 3 years of experience with installing hardwood floors; OR 1 year on-the-job installation experience and attendance at qualifying classes; OR completion of Wood Floor Specialist apprenticeship.
- Attend 3-day NWFA Intermediate Installation Training
- Complete the NWFA University (NWFAU) Online Installation Track OR completion of online written exam
- Complete Hands-On Testing on the day following training event, demonstrating skills in 5 areas:
- Engineered wood floor glue-down over concrete subfloor.
- Solid wood nail-down on wood subfloor.
- Dry lay of patterned/herringbone floor.
- Replace a board in an existing floor.
- Install floating floor over concrete slab.
- Sign Certified Installer Code of Conduct.

Event/Registration Cancellation Disclaimer
- Cancellations received 14 days or more prior to the first date of the training will receive a full refund.
- Cancellations received 13 or less days prior to the first date of training will not receive a refund, however, registrants can transfer their registration to another person within their company if notice is provided at least one day prior to the first date of the training.
- Any participant who does not attend the training is not eligible for a refund and is not eligible to transfer their registration fee to another training.
- All cancellations or any notice of transfer must be given in writing and sent to the NWFA Education Events Coordinator, Joy Silinsky at joy.silinsky@nwfa.org.
Any NWFA courses may be canceled due to a variety of circumstances. We strongly encourage all attendees to make refundable travel reservations in the event this course is canceled. Event cancelations will be communicated in a timely manner.
